Agaricus bisporus is also known as Agaricus brunnescens. This famous cultivated champignon mushroom was first bred by agronomist Olivier de Serres in the 17th century at the court of Louis XIV.
Olivier de Serres recognised that this mushroom prefers constantly warm temperatures. Therefore, it was already back then grown in caves nearby Paris and served as delicacy in the courtly cuisine.
Since then, Agaricus bisporus has conquered numerous international cuisines in an unmatched manner. By now, it is being cultivated in more than 70 countries all around the globe and has become the world’s most popular edible mushroom. Agaricus bisporus today thus plays an important role in many people’s diet. All around the world, it is being highly appreciated for its excellent flavour and nutritional value.
The Agaricus bisporus we offer is cultivated on organic compost substrate specifically produced for this purpose. To fully unfold its potential and grow to be a healthy mushroom, it needs an ideal environment, which can only be ensured by state-of-the-art facilities and highly experienced personnel. Right after being picked, the mushrooms are gently dried (without any intermediate storage) and carefully pulverised to fine powder. This way we ensure all of its valuable ingredients are retained.

The cultivation and processing into mushroom powder capsules takes place entirely and exclusively on our premises in Limeshain, Germany. The mature, freshly harvested mushroom is dried immediately after harvesting, using our special careful drying process, then ground into powder carefully with a water-cooled mill and filled into HPMC capsules. There is no interim storage (e.g. cold storage). Through the immediate, quick and careful processing, we ensure that all important substances it contains are preserved and that the mushroom does not lose its natural beneficial properties for human nutrition. It may contain traces of millet.

Store the product in a closed container in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight and out of the reach of children. During pregnancy and breastfeeding, a doctor should be consulted before consumption.
